Visual Research

This sketchbook was developed through Visual Research, a second-year Fine Art course at Fanshawe College taught by Professor Dr. Philip Gurrey. The class focused on how to approach and explore ideas for art, rather than concentrating solely on the finished piece.

Throughout the course, I filled multiple sketchbooks as spaces for observation, reflection, and experimentation. They became a record of my evolving understanding of artistic practice.

This process fundamentally shaped the way I approach art, shifting my focus toward inquiry and sustained curiosity.
